THE CONVERSATION

Experience × Ambition

WHAT COULD YOUR EXPERIENCE MAKE POSSIBLE NEXT?
The conversation

Thirty years of success. One unfinished ambition.

Christina joined the show with an ambition she had carried since she was 16: to work in journalism and media. After a career leading digital and AI transformation, she wanted to explore a place inside an established media organization.

She told the panel that headhunters had described the move as impossible without media-industry references. The conversation examined that assumption: which parts of her experience could travel with her, and how could she make their value clear to someone in a different field?

A contribution worth explaining

The panel explored her experience inside large organizations, her ability to consider several perspectives, and her willingness to ask difficult questions. Brad suggested that explaining AI and business transformation could provide an entry point. Christina was open to that possibility, while keeping her wider interests in media in view.

A path that fits the person

Christina was clear that she wanted to join an organization. That preference mattered: the discussion focused on finding the right team and contribution, rather than assuming that building an independent platform was her goal.

Turning the idea into conversations

The practical direction was to identify relevant media organizations, sharpen her proposition, and open conversations through email, LinkedIn, calls and introductions. Existing articles and interviews could help people understand how she thinks. Each conversation would also be a chance to learn how clearly her message was landing.

Where the session landed

Christina left with an emerging positioning and an outreach direction to explore. A new role remained a next step, not a result secured during the show.
